Yuk! Message 2 {19}{1}It's marked {16}{3}{19}{0}'MICROFAIR 100 TICKET'{16}{6}{19}{1}. But the programmer has crossed out the '100' and put '101' instead! Message 3 {19}{1}The leaflet advertises the next {16}{3}{19}{0}'Jean-Michel Jarre'{19}{1}{16}{6} concert. Message 4 {19}{1}A wonderful thing is the pin,^{7}So many things to stick it in. Message 5 {19}{1}It's just your average five pound note. Message 6 {19}{1}It's a cuddly toy! Actually, it's meant to look like a hamster, but instead looks like an elephant with a ping-pong ball on its nose. Message 7 {19}{1}It's a copy of that wondrous magazine {16}{3}{19}{0}'Adventure Prise{16}{3}'{16}{6}. Message 8 {19}{1}It's just your average laser-gun. Message 9 {19}{1}It's a small sachet of powder marked {16}{3}{19}{0}'Orc's Breath - Just add boiling water'{16}{6}{19}{1}. Message 10 {19}{1}It's a copy of {16}{3}{19}{0}'Arnold the Adventurer VI'{5}{16}{6}.{19}{1} Message 11 {19}{1}Just some seed. Message 12 {19}{1}The two pound coin is a thing that people think is rare. However, virtually everbody has got one! Message 13 {19}{1}It's a combined gardening/adventuring beard. Message 14 {19}{1}It's a copy of {16}{3}{19}{0}'Wombat'{16}{7}{16}{6}{19}{1}, a game that not many people have (sarcasm). Message 15 {19}{1}Just a normal cup! Message 16 {19}{1}It's black, well that's what the pot says anyway!.^{7}{19}{1}It has a plug at the end of its wire. Message 17 {19}{1}It's a doll named after one of Mangy's adventures. Message 18 {19}{1}Rummaging around in the rubbish, you find a leaflet. Message 19 {19}{1}You give the leaflet to Garth.^{7}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Jeepers!'{19}{1}{16}{6}, he says,{16}{3} {19}{0}'I didn't know that old JMJ was doing another concert so soon!'{19}{1}{16}{6}. He rushes off, then comes back.^{7} Message 20 {19}{1}{19}{0}{16}{3}"Here, You might as well have this!", {19}{1}{16}{6}he passes you a ticket and then another item. {16}{3}{19}{0}"It's a signed photograph of me"{19}{1}, {5}{16}{6}he says, {19}{0}{16}{3}"I know you must be a great fan of mine"{19}{1}. {16}{6}Poor deluded soul! Message 21 Message 22 {19}{1}The guard, who is blocking the way north, says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"No pass - No entry"{19}{1}. {16}{6}He displays a set of rotting teeth in something that vaguely resembles a grin. Message 23 {19}{1}You show your ticket to the guard and he grudgingly admits you into the microfair. Message 24 {19}{1}Stuck into the noticeboard is a pin. Message 25 {19}{1}You pull the pin out of the noticeboard and pocket it.^{7} Message 26 {19}{1}With a yell you realise that you've stuck the pin into your leg and hastily remove it from your pocket.^{7} Message 27 {19}{1}Prat! Message 28 {19}{1}You give the hamster doll to Dave's daughter and she instantly 'shuts up'.^{7} Message 29 {19}{1}Dave says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"Thanks! Message 33 {19}{1}The baby doesn't like the Black Knight doll and just cries all the more! Message 34 {19}{1}Mangy tells you that the photocopier has gone haywire! Message 35 {19}{1}It has a complex control panel, rather like the one in Concorde, and seems to be pre-occupied with shooting out photocopies! Message 36 {19}{1}On the wall you can see a plug and a switch. Message 37 {19}{1}You press the switch and the photocopier stops.{0}^{7} Message 38 {19}{1}Mangy thanks you for your help and hands you a small doll.^{7} Message 39 {19}{0}{19}{1}{19}{0}{16}{3}"Juniper Rowe knitted it for me. It's based on the character from my adventure 'Black Knight'"{19}{1}{16}{6}, Mangy explains.^{7} Message 40 {19}{1}You are bustled out of the room... Message 41 {19}{1}On the stall you find, and pocket, a copy of 'Prise'. Message 42 {19}{1}Mangy won't let you touch the stuff on the stall. Message 43 {19}{1}Mangy won't let you go south. Message 44 {19}{1}{19}{1}Scott looks worried. {16}{3}{19}{0}{19}{1}{19}{0}"Del's escaped!",{19}{1}{16}{6} he tells you, {19}{0}{16}{3}"You haven't seen him, have you?". Message 45 {19}{1}Scott says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"Thanks for finding Delbert!. Here, have one of my exclusive DTHS cuddly toys!".^{7} Message 46 {19}{1}He gives you the toy. Message 47 {19}{1}Scott looks his usual 'delightful' self! Message 48 {19}{1}It's Delbert! Message 49 {19}{1}As you root through the straw you disturb a small hamster. It scurries out of the straw! Message 50 {19}{1}The hamster won't let you touch it! Message 51 {19}{1}Seeing the seed in your hand the hamster scurries near and nibbles at it. Pretty soon it's finished eating the seed and it allows you to pick it up. Message 52 {5}{16}{5}{19}{1}As you enter this location, wearing the beard, the panel of judges sees you.^{7} Message 53 {16}{5}{19}{1}Overawed by your stunning resemblance to Ekym, they declare you the winner!^{7} Message 54 {16}{5}{19}{1}Don't get too excited, though.^{7}Your prize is two pounds and a copy of {19}{0}{16}{3}'Wombat'{4}{16}{5}.^{7} Message 55 {19}{1}There is a monster on the bridge! Message 56 {19}{1}It doesn't appear to want to let you get past it! Message 57 {19}{1}You show the monster the picture of {19}{0}{16}{3}Garth{19}{1}{16}{6}. With a yell of pain it melts away, appalled by the sheer sight of the picture.^{7} Message 58 {19}{1}Not a nice way to go! Message 59 {19}{1}The main attraction, on the stall, is the stunning game {16}{3}{19}{0}'Arnold VI'{19}{1}{16}{6}! A small sign also informs you that there's a free packet of {19}{0}{16}{3}'Orc's Breath'{19}{1}{16}{6} with every purchase. Message 60 {19}{1}The Balrog snarls, {16}{3}{19}{0}"Do yer want a game, or not.". Message 61 {19}{1}You hand over your two pound coin in exchange for the game. The Balrog says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"'Ere, Don't go without your free packet of Orc's breath!"{19}{1}{5}{16}{6}. You tell the Balrog that you wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. Message 62 {19}{1}The Balrog hasn't got change of a fiver, so you decide not to buy the game just yet. Message 63 {19}{1}What with? Fresh air? Message 64 {19}{1}You aim the laser at the bricks and press the firing stud...^{7} Message 65 {19}{1}With a large bang the bricks disintegrate!^{7}^{7}The gun is now discharged so you discard it. Message 66 {19}{1}You climb over the counter... Message 67 {19}{1}Phil says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"I've finally got a chance to do a spot of gardening!". Message 68 {19}{1}Phil is absorbed in reading the copy of {19}{0}{16}{3}'Prise'{16}{6}. Message 69 {19}{1}Phil says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"A copy of the latest Prise! - Thanks!".^{7}{19}{1}{16}{6}He says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"I should really get on with the garden, but blow it! I'd much rather read Prise!".^{7} Message 70 {19}{1}Phil doesn't like you messing about with his flowers! Message 71 {19}{1}Phil is too busy to notice you messing with his flowers.^{7} Message 72 {19}{1}In amongst the flowers you find some seed... Message 73 {19}{1}Phil hands you a beard. {16}{3}{19}{0}"It was free on the cover of 'Gardening for those who also run a highly successful Sam Adventure Club'. I won't be using it now!". Message 74 {19}{1}You give the tramp the copy of {3}{4}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Arnold VI'{16}{6}{19}{1}...^{7} Message 75 {19}{1}{16}{3}{19}{0}"Strewth, mate", {19}{1}{16}{6}he says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"I'm your friend for life!". {19}{1}{16}{6}The tramp now seems to be following you! Message 76 {19}{1}The tramp says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"I've already got that game!". Message 77 {19}{1}The tramp smells, and resembles, a compost heap! Message 78 {19}{1}Which game? Message 79 {16}{5}{19}{1}Suddenly there is a weird shimmering in front of your eyes...^{7} Message 80 {4}{16}{5}{19}{1}A form appears in front of you.^{7} Message 81 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}Players of the original game will recognise this person as Commander Smok.^{7} Message 82 {4}{16}{5}{19}{1}For players who haven't played the original game it should be noted that Smok isn't too happy with you at all. In fact...^{7} Message 83 {19}{0}{16}{3}{19}{0}{19}{1}"{19}{0}I have come to arrest you for impersonating a Star-Feet officer", {16}{3}{4}{16}{5}{19}{1}Smok says.^{7} Message 84 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}Within seconds Smok has captured you and taken you away. Your trial does not go well... Message 85 {19}{1}{16}{5}As quick as a flash, the trusty tramp removes his socks!!!^{7} Message 86 {19}{1}{16}{5}Smok collapses and you nick his laser-gun!^{7} Message 87 {19}{1}{16}{5}The tramp tells you that he's going to take the 'point-eared prat down the nick'. And you breathe a sigh of relief, as he leaves - You've finally got rid of the tramp! Message 88 ^{7}{6}^{7}{16}{7}{19}{1}{16}{5}{19}{1} {144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}^{7}{16}{5}{16}{6} GAME OVER^{7}{16}{5} {144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{144}{19}{1}^{7}^{7}{16}{4}You are dead and thus, by default, have failed to complete your quest.^{7} Message 89 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}It was Friday the 13th of November, and the day of yet another Microfair. The 101st to be exact.^{7} Message 90 {19}{1}{19}{1}{16}{5}You were looking{19}{1} foward to this one. There would be no journeys into outer space, no trips into alternate dimensions, no encounters with demented time-lords like at the last fair. All in all, it should be a peaceful day.^{7} Message 91 {19}{1}{16}{5}Of course, you were going to deliver your new game to DTHS. But there would be no problem with that. After all, their stall was on the first floor.^{7} Message 92 {19}{1}{16}{5}And so you found yourself standing in front of Sir Clive's exhibition complex for a second time, with your ticket clasped firmly in your hand.^{7} Message 93 {19}{1}{16}{5}It was then that the problems began.^{7} Message 94 {16}{5}{19}{1}Out of nowhere, for that is where these creatures live, came a {16}{6}Grue{16}{5}! It punched you in the stomach, grabbed your game and legged it into the building shouting,^{7} Message 95 {19}{0}{16}{3}{19}{0}{19}{1}{19}{0}{19}{1}{19}{0}"If you want to get your game back, you'll have to catch me!".^{7} Message 96 {19}{1}{16}{5}Oh well, you thought, at least he hadn't eaten you (Grues usually do this). All you had to do was go in and get your game back.^{7} Message 97 {19}{1}{16}{5}It was then that you noticed that your ticket was missing. Message 98 {19}{1}On the unit you find a cup... Message 99 {19}{1}On the sideboard is a kettle... Message 100 {19}{1}On the wall is a plug socket. Message 101 {19}{1}The kettle hasn't got any water in it! Message 102 {19}{1}You fill the kettle with water. Message 103 {19}{1}You decide against filling the cup with water. Message 104 {19}{1}The kettle is full of cold water. Message 105 {19}{1}The kettle is full of hot water. Message 106 {19}{1}{19}{1}You plug the kettle in, wait until the water boils, then unplug it.quit Message 107 {19}{1}You pour the hot water into the cup. Message 108 {19}{1}The cup is full of amazing everlasting hot water! Message 109 {19}{1}And what will you put the contents of the sachet into, eh?. Message 110 {19}{1}You open {19}{1}the sachet and tip the contents into the cup. Message 111 {19}{1}The cup contains some powdered orc's breath. Message 112 {19}{1}The cup contains some steaming hot orc's breath. Message 113 {19}{1}Urggh! No thanks! Message 114 {19}{1}You're not thirsty! Message 115 {19}{1}The dragon stops you! Honestly, some people have no manners!^{7} Message 118 {19}{1}The dragon says, {16}{3}{19}{0}"Gosh. I feel much better now.".^{7} Message 119 {19}{1}{16}{3}{19}{0}"Right, I'm off after those firemen. See you!". {5}{19}{1}{5}{16}{6}The dragon flies out of the room...^{7} Message 120 {19}{1}The {16}{3}Grue{16}{6} attacks!...^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}{16}{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7}^{7} {16}{6}Oh dear..... Message 131 {19}{1}Tim says, {19}{0}{16}{3}"I'm only here so that the real Tim doesn't get upset at being missed out from the game". Message 132 {19}{1}The character of the Black Knight has no speech message attached to him. Message 133 {19}{1}Phil is far too busy to talk to you. Apart from the odd scrawlings on the walls ({5}{4}{19}{0}{16}{3}'Sally waz 'ere{4}{4}{5}'{19}{1}{16}{5}) and the mounds of rubbish, you can see nothing of any real interest. Location 2 {1}{19}{1}{5}{5}{16}{5}{16}{7}{16}{5}You are standing before the form of {16}{3}{19}{0}'Sir Clive's Exhibition Complex'{3}{19}{1}{4}{4}{16}{5} and are rather suprised to see that only one floor appears to be present. There is a poster advertising the microfair on the wall, and also another notice which curiously occupies the empty space where the other floors should be. To the {16}{7}north{16}{5} is the main entrance, blocked by a guard, while to the {16}{7}east{16}{5} and{16}{7} west {16}{5}are {4}alleyways. Location 3 {4}{16}{5}{19}{1}You are in the alley to the east of the main entrance to the complex. Location 4 {16}{5}{19}{1}This is the reception. It has been redecorated since your last visit. The carpet is now {16}{4}green {16}{5}and the walls {16}{3}{19}{0}magenta{4}{19}{1}{16}{5}, Much better than the last, horrific, colour scheme. The main hallway lies to the {16}{7}north{16}{5}, through a doorway next to a small noticeboard. Location 5 {19}{1}{16}{5}This is the {5}{16}{3}{19}{0}creche{4}{19}{1}{16}{5}. The smell of nappies fills the air! Escape lies just a few metres to the {16}{7}east{16}{5}. {19}{0}{16}{3}Dave Whitemere {19}{1}{16}{5}and daughter are here. Location 6 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}This is the main hallway. On the wall, which is decorated with {5}{4}{16}{3}{19}{0}'TMHT'{19}{1} {4}{16}{5}wallpaper, is a large sign which reads, {16}{5}{16}{6}'MICROFAIR 101 This way'{4}{5}{16}{4}{16}{5}. Unfortunately the sign rather loses its impact because there's no arrow on it to show a direction!. Exits lie to the {16}{7}north{16}{5} and{16}{7} south{16}{5}. A small door, marked with a skull and safety pin, leads {16}{7}west{16}{5}. Location 7 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}You are behind the {4}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Adventure Prise'{4}{3}{16}{5} {19}{1}{19}{1}stall. Next to the wall is a photocopier. The only way out is to the {16}{7}north{16}{5}. Location 8 {16}{5}{19}{1}This is the {16}{5}{4}{4}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Adventure Prise'{16}{5}{19}{1} stall, the back of which is to the {16}{7}south{16}{5}. The only other exit is to the {16}{7}north{16}{5}. Location 9 {16}{5}{19}{1}This is the {3}home of all the people that we would have dearly liked to fit into the game, but didn't have enough memory space. The way out is to the {16}{7}north{16}{5}. Location 10 {16}{5}{19}{1}This location links two others. They are to the {18}{0}{16}{7}north{16}{5} and the {16}{7}east{16}{5} and you are definitely recommended to pay them a visit. Location 11 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}Smoke and fumes waft around this room, which has exits to the {16}{7}east{16}{5} and{16}{7} west{16}{5}. The middle of the room has a huge puddle in it. Location 12 {16}{5}{19}{1}This is a small east-west running corridor. From the {16}{7}west{16}{5} comes some smoke, while to the {16}{7}east{16}{5} you can almost see the glow of the wallpaper in the main hallway!. Location 13 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}Bang!. The loudness of the {16}{5}{5}{16}{6}yellow {16}{5}wallpaper in this location hits you. Oww!. Taking one of the various exits to the {16}{7}north{16}{5}, {16}{7}east{16}{5}, {16}{7}south{16}{5} and{16}{7} west {16}{5}seems like a good idea. Location 14 {19}{1}{4}{16}{5}This small corridor leads {16}{7}east{16}{5}, from the main hallway, to some computer stalls. Location 15 {19}{1}{16}{4}{16}{5}Around you the activity of the microfair is astounding. It's astounding because there isn't any!. What is the reason for the lack of people at the computer stalls to the {16}{7}north{16}{5}, {16}{7}east{16}{5} or {16}{7}south{16}{5}. Is it due to poor publicity, bad weather or inflated ticket prices. No, it's due to the lack of effort, by the programmer, in the pseudo-character department. The main hallway is further on to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}.{16}{5} Location 16 {19}{1}{4}{4}{16}{5}To the {16}{7}north{16}{5} and{16}{7} south {16}{5}are even more computer stalls, like the ones to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}. Location 17 {19}{0}{19}{1}{4}{3}{16}{5}In this location is the {16}{3}{19}{0}Grue{4}{16}{5}!. {19}{1}The only exit lies to the {16}{7}south{16}{5}. Location 18 {19}{1}{4}{4}{16}{5}Before you a small sign reads {19}{0}{16}{3}'YOUR SINKLAIR ADVENTURES'{19}{1}{4}{16}{5}. Actually you would have considered it a large sign if it wasn't for the sign that hangs above it. That one reads {4}{19}{0}{16}{3}'FROM BEYOND'{16}{3}{19}{1}{4}{16}{5} and dwarfs the {16}{5}{4}{19}{0}{16}{3}'YS' {16}{5}{19}{1}sign completely!.^{7}Tim Unkempt is here, waiting to grab your money before you can venture {16}{7}south{16}{5}. Location 19 {19}{1}{16}{5}This is the {4}{4}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Delbert The Hamster'{19}{1}{4}{16}{5} stall which, due to bias on the author's part, is the largest and most splendid stall in the entire complex!. Scott 'Delightful' Denyer is here so maybe you had better escape, quickly, to the {16}{7}south{16}{5}. Location 20 {19}{1}{16}{5}This room resembles a rather colourful spectrum crash, with squares of paint randomly dotted over the walls. The corridor leads {16}{7}east{16}{5}, while a door leads {16}{7}north{16}{5}. Location 21 {19}{1}{4}{3}{16}{5}This corridor joins up with the main hallway, to the {16}{7}east{16}{5}, as well as branching off, on its own, to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}. Location 22 {4}{16}{5}{19}{1}The main hallway abruptly comes to an end here. You can go {16}{7}east {16}{5}or{16}{7} west{16}{5}, rather than the usual north. I suppose you could also go to the {16}{7}south{16}{5} as well, but where's the challenge in that, eh?. Location 23 {19}{1}{4}{4}{16}{5}The main hallway now has as many exits as the designer's imagination would allow. The main hallway has two exits. They lie to the {16}{7}north{16}{5} and{16}{7} south{16}{5}. Some imagination?. Location 24 {4}{4}{19}{1}{4}{16}{5}This room has exits to the {16}{7}east{16}{5} and{16}{7} west{16}{5}, and also a very short location description. Location 25 {16}{5}{19}{1}A large sign on the wall here says, {16}{3}{19}{0}'DON'T GO EAST'{19}{1}{16}{5}. If you wish you CAN go {16}{7}east{16}{5}, but the exits to the {16}{7}north {16}{5}and{16}{7} west {16}{5}would be a better idea. Location 26 {4}{19}{1}{4}{3}{4}{16}{5}You are in the {4}{4}{3}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Room of sudden death'{19}{1}{16}{5}. Skull and crossbones line the walls. There are large {16}{2}{19}{0}'DANGER!'{19}{1}{3}{4}{16}{5} signs everywhere. You don't quite feel at ease, though you don't know why. The exit is to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}. Location 27 {19}{1}{4}{4}{16}{5}Yet more computer stalls stand to the {16}{7}north {16}{5}ready for your perusal. If perusing isn't your thing then you can always go{16}{7} south{16}{5}. Location 28 {19}{1}{16}{5}This passage leads to the {16}{7}north{16}{5} and{16}{7} south{16}{5}. Location 29 {19}{1}{16}{5}This is a small room cunningly designed by the author to hide something. I'm not telling you what!. What I will tell you is that there's a small pile of straw here, and an exit leads out to the {16}{7}east{16}{5}. Location 30 {19}{1}{3}{4}{16}{5}A room is to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}, while to the {16}{7}east {16}{5}is the infamous {16}{3}{19}{0}'ZENZINOBI'{4}{19}{1}{16}{5} stall. There are other exits in the {16}{7}north{16}{5}erly and erm.. {16}{7}south{16}{5}erly directions. Location 31 {19}{1}{16}{5}This is the {16}{3}{19}{0}'ZENZINOBI'{19}{1} {4}{3}{4}{16}{5}stall, presided over by the Balrog himself. A sign above the stall reads {3}{19}{0}{16}{3}'ZENOBI - WE'RE A BLOOMIN' CHARITY!'{19}{1}{5}{16}{5}. The corridor is to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}. Location 32 {4}{4}{19}{1}{16}{5}At this point in the passageway, which in case you've forgotten, runs from {16}{7}north{16}{5} to {16}{7}south{16}{5}, is a placard. The placard is above a counter, and it reads {4}{5}{16}{3}{19}{0}'BISHOP'S BISTRO'{16}{3}{4}{16}{3}{4}{19}{1}{16}{5}. Location 33 {19}{1}{4}{3}{4}{16}{5}This is the kitchen of {16}{5}{19}{0}{16}{3}'Bishop's Bistro'{19}{1}{16}{5}. There are some units on the wall. The counter can be{16}{7} climb{16}{5}ed over to get to the west. Location 34 {4}{4}{16}{5}{19}{1}To put it bluntly this room stinks!. I'd advise you to leave it,by going {16}{7}east{16}{5}, immediately. Location 35 {19}{1}{16}{5}Again there's a room to the {16}{7}west{16}{5} and a computer stall to the {16}{7}^{7}east{16}{5}, as well as the usual exits to the {16}{7}north{16}{5} and{16}{7} south{16}{5}. Variety, hey{16}{5}?. Location 36 {4}{19}{1}{16}{5}This is the {4}{19}{0}{16}{3}'Virtual Reality'{16}{5} {19}{1}stall. A large sign hangs over the stall, while the exit lies to the {16}{7}west{16}{5}. Location 37 {19}{1}{16}{5}You've just entered what appears to be a large forest!. Those who have played the first game will recognise the cardboard trees and the cello bridge that crosses the {16}{3}{19}{0}River Clive {19}{1}{16}{5}ahead. Those who haven't, won't. Subtle hint - Play the original game!. Location 38 {19}{1}{4}{5}{16}{5}You have just entered the venue for the {16}{5}{16}{3}{19}{0}'Myke Gerrald look-alike contest'{4}{16}{5}{19}{1}.
