Message 2 {16}{4}{5}The glass is full of Kwargz's vile smelling air. Message 3 {16}{4}{5}It's your average olive, though undoubtably a bit on the squashy side. Message 4 {5}{16}{4}The glass is full of {16}{5}{16}{6}'Olive Oil'. Message 5 {5}{16}{4}It's a large oak picture frame. Message 6 {5}{16}{4}It's a map of the mountains. Message 7 {5}{16}{4}It's a curious box. A small sticker on it it proclaims its contents as {16}{5}{16}{6}'mistaken identity'{16}{5}.{16}{5} Message 8 {4}{5}{16}{4}Just your ordinary {16}{6}'An-drecks'{16}{6}{16}{5}. Message 9 {5}{16}{4}Some blighters punched holes in it! Message 10 {5}{16}{4}It's a rather nice bird cage complete with it's occupants - {16}{4}{16}{5}{16}{6}Two parrots{16}{5}! Message 11 {5}{16}{4}Just some bird seed! Message 12 {5}{16}{4}It's very shiny and looks as though it might be valuable. Message 13 {5}{16}{4}It's just a copy of the local paper - {16}{5}{16}{6}'The Daily Sleeze'{16}{6}{16}{5}. Message 14 {5}{16}{4}It reads -^{7}{16}{6}"20p OFF ANY ELEPHANT PURCHASED FROM OUR SHOP.^{7}Note - All elephants are up to the {3}{16}{4}H.I.S. {16}{5}{16}{6}(Hannibal International Standard).". Message 15 {5}{16}{4}It's a {5}{16}{6}magical {16}{4}{5}coat of arms! Message 16 {5}{16}{4}It's just your average chisel. Message 17 {5}{16}{4}It's an ordinary brick. Message 18 {5}{16}{4}It's a bottle of {16}{6}'Ointment for sore throats'{5}{16}{4}. A small label says, {5}{16}{6}'DIRECTIONS - Rub a little on to your chest (and neck) before going to sleep for instant (give or take a few hours) relief.'{16}{5}. Message 19 {5}{16}{4}It's the fabled {16}{5}{16}{6}'MAGIC LAMP'{16}{4}{5}. Message 20 {5}{16}{4}The bulb appears to be broken. Message 21 {16}{4}{5}The bulb is in perfect working order. Message 22 {5}{16}{4}It's a very nice vase indeed. Message 23 {5}{16}{4}Just a small round stone! Message 24 {4}{5}{16}{4}It is a small, beautifully carved chess piece. On the bottom, a small sticker reads, {5}{16}{6}'Scott's Pawn Shop - For when 'disaster strikes''. Message 25 {5}{16}{4}It is a dull old baking tray. Message 26 {16}{4}{5}It is just a normal hole punch. Message 27 {5}{16}{4}The currency of Kwargz - The wibble. Message 28 You swallow the cocktail down in one go and suddenly realise it was a terrible mistake......^{7} Message 29 Your eyes pop out and your hair stands on end. Steam comes out your ears and smoke out your nose. you come out in a hot flush and see stars before your eyes....^{7} Message 30 The finally the effects subside.{3}{16}{4}"BURP!"{5}{16}{6}, you say. Message 31 You are left with an empty glass and an olive.^{7} Message 32 You squeeze the juice of the olive into the glass. You've got some {16}{4}olive oil{16}{7}{5}{16}{6}! Message 33 It would help if you had hold of it! Message 34 You haven't got anything to squeeze it into. Message 35 You can't drink that (well, not in this game anyway!) Message 36 The door won't open - The hinges on it are rusty! Message 37 Leave it as it is. Message 38 The door is open. Message 39 You oil the hinges on the door and turn the handle on it. The door swings open easily - thank goodness it wasn't locked. Message 40 You punch a load of little holes in the toilet roll. Message 41 Punch what?. Message 42 You haven't got anything to punch it with (apart from your fists but that wouldn't do much good!) Message 43 You just about manage to lift the picture frame off the wall. Message 44 You open up the picture frame to reveal the map. Message 45 In the picture frame is a very nice aerial view of the mountains. Message 46 He looks remarkably familiar! His apron bears the name 'Floyd' and he has a wine bottle clutched firmly in his hand. Message 47 You manage to lift the cook to one side and find that he was lying on a baking tray.... Message 48 The sign says 'This road leads out of town'. Message 49 On the wall is a picture frame. Message 50 The walls are bare. Message 51 The picture is of the mountains. Message 52 Not while it's hung on the wall! Message 53 In amongst the junk you find a hole punch... Message 54 You find nothing of any further use. Message 55 Under the carpet you find a newspaper. Message 56 On the window ledge is a toilet roll... Message 57 Flicking through the newspaper you see an interesting coupon and tear it out. Message 58 On the ceiling you find a light socket. Message 59 In the light socket is a bulb. Message 60 The light socket is empty. Message 61 Which bulb? Message 62 You bend down and examine the track. You can't see much of use and so stand back up again. Message 63 As an afterthought, you pick up one of the small stones that lie on the track. Message 64 It's firmly clasped in Floyd's hand. Message 65 The sign reads, {16}{4}"Tourist trips over mountain"{16}{6}. Underneath an orc has scrawled - {4}{3}{3}{4}{16}{5}"He should have looked where he was going!" Message 66 You plant the seed in the garden Message 67 You turn the dial on the barometer. Message 68 It now reads 'Sun'. Message 69 It now reads 'Rain'. Message 70 It's too wet to go out! Message 71 You climb up the plant. Message 72 A large plant is here. Message 73 You see a barometer. Message 74 The barometer's needle is pointing to 'Sun'. Message 75 The barometer's needle is pointing to rain. Message 76 In amongst the junk you find a chisel. Message 77 Being a natural coward, you would prefer to have some more light before you go that way! Message 78 ^{7}This room is very dark, with the only light coming from the doorway to the west. To the east is another room - but that is shrouded in complete darkness and you don't fancy going in there! Message 79 ^{7}This room is now brightly illuminated. There are doorways to both the east and west. Message 80 Feeling around the ceiling you find a light socket. Message 81 In the socket is a bulb. Message 82 The socket is empty. Message 83 Feeling around the walls you find a light switch. Message 84 You press the light switch.... Message 85 Nothing happens, so you press the switch again - still nothing! Message 86 The light comes on! Message 87 You insert the bulb in the socket. Message 88 The chest is closed. Message 89 The chest is open. Message 90 You open the chest.^{7}{16}{4}Inside it, you find a {16}{4}{5}{16}{6}car clamp{16}{4} - could this be the fabled {5}{16}{6}magic clamp{5}{16}{4}? Message 91 If you were a hunky, muscle bound hero you could easily pick the chest up - however, you aren't so you can't! Message 92 A sign high up on the wall reads, "This wall was supplied by {16}{4}Impossibly High Walls Ltd, Flitwick, Beds.{5}{16}{6}".^{7}Looking upwards you can see that the wall does in fact seem to stretch onwards up to infinity.^{7}Apart from this rather startling fact you notice that the wall is old and the mortar between the bricks is crumbling. Message 93 You remove a brick from the wall by chiselling out some of the mortar. Message 94 As you enter the cottage you see a sign.^{7}It reads, {16}{4}"Beware of the parrots".^{7}{5}{16}{6}I wonder what that means.....^{7} Message 95 Also in the cage is a shiny object!^{7} Message 96 The parrots won't let you reach into their cage! Message 97 It's a player piano, with a small indentation (or slot) for the music roll to be inserted in. Message 98 The piano is playing music. Message 99 You insert the toilet roll into the slot and start the piano playing. Message 100 The parrots look rather fierce! Message 101 The parrots are happily listening to the music. Message 102 As the parrots are listening to the music, they don't notice you stealing the shiny object. As an afterthought, you grab a handfull of seed as well..... Message 103 As you enter the bar the name 'CHAIRS' finally clicks!^{7} Message 104 {16}{4}"Hey"{5}{16}{6}, you say, {16}{4}"Is this the place where everybody knows your name?"^{7} Message 105 A guy sitting on a stool looks at you and says, {16}{4}"Who's that?"^{7} Message 106 The barman looks at the guy on the stool and says, {16}{4}"More to the point, who the heck are you?"^{7} Message 107 Another guy shouts, {16}{4}"Aw shurrup, George!"^{7}^{7}{16}{6}The barman says, {5}{16}{4}"'Ere, my name ain't George! I'm Bob."^{7} Message 108 The guy at the stool says, {16}{4}"Wait a minute - If you're Bob then who am I?"^{7} Message 109 This continues for some time...^{7} Message 110 On the table you find a bird cage... Message 111 On the wall is a coat of arms. Message 112 The coat of arms is attached to the wall! Message 113 You pull the coat of arms of the wall... What a vandal you are!! Message 114 At the moment you have Message 115 wibbles. Message 116 You give the brick to the man behind the counter.^{7}He welcomes you into the society and you manage to get him to loan you some money. Message 117 You show the vase to Scott.^{7}He says, {16}{4}"I'll give you 15 wibbles for that".{16}{6}^{7}Ignoring his sly grin, you agree to the trade and swop the vase for some money. Message 118 Scott says, {16}{4}"I'll give you 50 wibbles for that, matey."^{7}"No way!",{5}{16}{6} you say,{5}{16}{4} "It's worth at least 150!"^{7}"Oh, very well", {5}{16}{6}he says, {5}{16}{4}"Here you go! Sometimes I think this isn't a business but a bleedin' charity". Message 119 Scott also hands you a 'pawn', explaining that it's free with your first deal with him. Message 120 You buy the weird looking case off Gordon for 20 wibbles. Message 121 You haven't got enough money to buy that! Message 122 You buy the ointment off the chemist for 15 wibbles. Message 123 You hand the coupon to the shopkeeper who informs you that the elephant now only costs 150 wibbles, and you pay him the money. Message 124 He tells you that he will send the elephant round to your cottage very soon. Message 125 You tell the chemist that you have a sore chest and he recommends some ointment that costs 15 wibbles. Message 126 Gordon tells you that there's a special offer on his miscellaneous cases this month (Only 20 wibbles each!) Message 127 The man says that the trunks are in the form of elephants that cost 200 wibbles. Message 128 Scott prefers to let money do the talking! Message 129 Nobody pays any attention to you! Message 130 You buy a cocktail at the bar for 10 wibbles. Message 131 The bar man says, {16}{4}"We only serve cocktails and they cost 10 wibbles here." Message 132 One drink is enough for an adventurer (Tell that to Tam!) Message 133 Message 134 You don't really want to drop your money on the floor, do you? Message 135 A rather large elephant is here! Message 136 You are riding on the elephant. Message 137 Due to its size, the elephant can't go that way! Message 138 You climb onto the elephant. Message 139 You climb off the elephant. Message 140 As you enter this location you are suprised to see a huge elephant standing in the midsts of your front lawn.^{7} Message 141 A man comes up to you and says, {16}{4}"Sign for this, please sir."^{7} Message 142 You do so and then ask how the hell did he manage to bring the elephant round!^{7} Message 143 The chap cheekily replies, {16}{4}"Oh, I used smelling salts, sir".^{7} Message 144 With that, he leaves.^{7} Message 145 It's got big ears, a long nose and a dumb expression on it's ugly face - In fact it rather looks like Gareth Pitchford! Message 146 A guard from the town hall enters here looking for the chap who stole their vase.^{7} Message 147 He spots you and says, {16}{4}"Ere, you're the one I'm after!"^{7} Message 148 The guard arrests you and takes you away.^{7} Message 149 You get a suspended sentence. Unfortunately, you are suspended from the roof by a rope!...^{7} Message 150 You open the 'case of mistaken identity'!^{7} Message 151 The guard says, {16}{4}"Cripes mate, I thought you were someone else. Sorry about all that!"^{7} Message 152 Not yet! Message 153 The mountain slope is too steep to climb on foot! Message 154 You and your elephant climb up the slope....^{7} Message 155 You and your elephant manage to make your way up to the top of the mountain by following the map.^{7} Message 156 Very soon, you find yourself lost in the mountains... Message 157 At the top, you climb off your elephant and with a tearful farewell ("Get Lost You Creep!") you bid it goodbye.^{7} Message 158 The elephant looks at you as if to say, {5}{16}{4}"Is that all the bloomin thanks I get?"{16}{6} and wanders off. Message 159 You tell the barman about your quest.^{7}After he has stopped laughing at your stupidity, he tells you that the wizard who lives in a castle on the other side of the mountains may be of some help. Message 160 Looking through the telescope you can see a castle! Could this be the same castle that the wizard lives in? Message 161 The telescope is for looking through!^{7}It is very large but very crude, and as you would expect, from such an ancient model, it's got lenses at each end. Message 162 The eyepiece lens has been unscrewed, leaving a hole just big enough to enter. Message 163 You climb through the telescope and are rather surprised to find yourself somewhere completely different! Message 164 You and your elephant make your way up the mountain.^{7}Unfortunately, it's too cold for you to bear and eventually frostbite claims all but the smallest of your appendages.^{7}{16}{7}^{7}You are, I'm afraid, dead.^{7} Message 165 You unscrew the lens of the telescope, and you can now see a hole. Message 166 {5}{17}{6}^{7}{5}{17}{6} {4}{16}{0}A DRAGON!!! ^{7} Message 167 However, it should be noted that a large 'Black Knight' stands in front of the door, blocking your entry. Message 168 There is a gap in the wall to the west. Message 169 It looks like a hopscotch board! Message 170 You play hopscotch, using the stone, and as you land on the number 10 a gap appears in the wall to the west!.... Message 171 Something's missing. Message 172 As you walk foward into the castle, the portcullis slams down behind you. It looks like you're stuck here - Hope you remembered all the necessary objects! Message 173 The smaller sign reads,^{7}{16}{4}"SCOTTY D's LIFE INSURANCE:-^{7}Ring for your free quote now!^{7}Remember, you're never too young to die!"{4} Message 174 On the board is a single chess piece. Message 175 It's a Knight! Message 176 You can't seem to physically move the knight from the board. Message 177 You take the Knight with the pawn, in typical chess fashion, and the knight disappears. From the screaming you've just heard, you wonder whether that was the only one to vanish! Message 178 The chess board is empty! Message 179 What with? Message 180 The Black Knight will not let you into the Wizard's quarters! Message 181 There's a puff of smoke and the {5}{16}{4}"Genie Of The Lamp"{16}{7} appears and says, {16}{4}"Right, mate, I'm not going to have any messing around. Here's the deal. I will help you {16}{5}once{16}{4} only when you rub the clamp, after that I'm off to a bigger (and better!) adventure!"^{7}{5}{16}{6}He then disappears back into the lamp. Message 182 The Genie can't help you here! Message 183 The Genie says, {5}{5}{16}{4}"You want help here? Jeez, You could have done it yourself! Never mind, who am I to question a moron like you?"^{7}{5}{16}{6}He waves his arms around in a totally unconvincing manner, there is a bright flash, and....... Message 184 Suddenly there is a flash of lightning!........^{7} Message 185 The great wizard Krytze appears!^{7}{19}{0}^{7} Message 186 {16}{4}"Hello, adventurer. How can I help you?" {5}{16}{6}he says.^{7} Message 187 You tell him about your quest and he promises that he will help you out.^{7} Message 188 {16}{4}"But first, you must do something for me. I want you to go and retrieve a valuable object off Greta the Gorgon, for me".^{7}{16}{4} Message 189 {16}{4}"What",{5}{16}{6} you say, {16}{4}"You want me to bring back her head?".^{7} Message 190 {16}{4}"Nah, nothing like that. I merely want you to get the {4}{16}{5}Deacon Blue{5}{16}{4} tapes I lent her".^{7} Message 191 You agree to his request.^{7} Message 192 {16}{4}"Oh, just in case you change your mind", {5}{4}{16}{6}The wizard waves his arms around.....^{7} Message 193 {16}{4}I'm going to turn you into....^{7} Message 194 The chest will not open!! Message 195 You rub a little ointment onto the chest... Message 196 {4}{16}{5}CONGRATULATIONS, You've managed to finish the first part of {16}{4}"THE SEARCH FOR THE NETHER REGIONS"{16}{4}{3}{16}{5}. Your password for PART TWO is:- Message 197 An so, in the guise of a dragon, you find yourself being transported to the Shadow Hills, where the evil Greta the Gorgon lives!^{7} Message 198 After you settle down in your new form, you decide that maybe life as a dragon isn't that bad.^{7} Message 199 It's then that you see the guy with the bow and arrow aiming straight at you!.....^{7} Message 200 {16}{4}HADDOCK Message 201 {16}{4}NEDDY Message 202 {16}{4}SPOCK Message 203 {16}{4}OXYGENE Message 204 The guard disappears in a flash of lightning! Message 205 A large plant leads down, from the window, to the ground outside. Message 206 Just your average little cottage that you see in most adventures! Message 207 You're better off leaving the orcs alone until you've got the {16}{4}Golden Camcorder{16}{7}{5}{16}{6} to dispose of them! Message 208 The cottages are scrawled with graffiti, but apart from that they aren't of much interest to an adventurer like yourself. Message 209 The bar looks strangely familiar - Why don't you go inside? Message 210 Some orc has scrawled on the doors of the station, {16}{4}"POLICE MEN ARE NUMBERED IN CASE THEY GET LOST!!". Message 211 Excuse me, if you want to explore toilets then do it in your own time{1}! Message 212 Why not go inside? Message 213 Very nice stuff indeed, but most of it is sadly inscribed with the words {5}{16}{4}"PROPERTY OF KWARGZ TOWN HALL" {5}{4}{16}{6}and you don't think the guard would be too pleased if you legged off with any of it! Message 214 The best statuette is one of St Patrick (The patron saint of astronomy) complete with xylophone. Message 215 Be carefull - It could close at any time! Message 216 {16}{5}This game was written by Gareth Pitchford using the PAW system from Gilsoft International.^{7} Message 217 As well as all the usual commands, the following abbreviations are also accepted:-^{7}{16}{4}GET {16}{5}(G) {16}{4}{4}DROP {16}{5}(DR) {16}{4}^{7}QUIT {16}{5}(Q) {16}{4}SAVE {4}{16}{5}(SA) {16}{4}LOAD {16}{5}(LO)^{7}{5}{16}{4}RAMLOAD {16}{5}(RL{5}) {5}{16}{4}RAMSAVE {16}{5}(RS)^{7}{5}{16}{4}EXAMINE {4}{16}{5}(X) {16}{4}SCORE {16}{5}(SC) Message 218 As you utter the curse there is a blinding flash of light!^{7} Message 219 A weird looking chap appears. He has a Spectrum in one hand and a monitor in the other.^{7} Message 220 He says, {16}{5}"Were you the one who swore?"^{7} Message 221 You can only nod your head.^{7} Message 222 {4}{16}{5}"Well, I hate to do this to you but..."{4}{4}{5}{16}{6}, he types in a few commands on the keyboard.^{7} Message 223 You feel yourself shimmering weirdly and hear the Genie scream, {4}{16}{5}"AT LAST - I'M FREE!!!!!"^{7} Message 224 You'll regret you did that, later on! Message 225 The paper reads,^{7}{16}{4}"Dear Adventurer,^{7} Sorry about all this trading places lark. Message 235 {16}{5}You have failed in your quest to find the legendary {16}{5}{16}{6}Golden Camcorder. {4}{16}{5}The land of Kwargz is doomed....^{7} Message 236 {5}{18}{1}{16}{3} {19}{1}GAME OVER GAME OVER GAME OVER ^{7}{18}{1}{19}{1}{19}{0}{18}{0}^{7} Message 237 There is a small ball of fluff on the floor here.^{7} Message 238 As you move foward it emits a loud 'poof!' and jumps into the air, landing several feet away from you!^{7} Message 239 From the ball of fluff appears two huge, blinking eyes, and you realise that it is a Traggit, a small pom-pom shaped creature.^{7} Message 240 With yet another 'Poof!' the creature bounces out of sight.^{7} Message 241 Suddenly, a huge snowball rolls down the mountain track towards you!^{7} Message 242 You dodge out the way and it narrowly misses you.^{7} Message 243 With a crash it hits a fence. The snowball explodes and out pops a small ball of fur.^{7} Message 244 Pausing only to pull tongues at you, the Traggit bounces back up the mountain track once again.^{7} Message 245 Please be a little more specific on how to do that. Message 246 The picture frame is far too heavy to carry about with you (at least that's the authors excuse... He hasn't even stopped to consider the fact that you can cart an infinite number of objects around with you!) Message 247 The man behind the counter says, {16}{5}"If you want to join the Building Society then you'll have to give me some sort of deposit." Message 248 The man says, {16}{5}"Money won't do, We're a BUILDING society, not a bank!" Message 249 I wonder what's underneath it? To the east, a door leads off into what appears to be a bedroom. Location 3 ^{7}You are in what appears to be the cottage of an elderly spinster. You are surrounded by well dusted furniture and tables.^{7}Nobody seems to be in at the moment. The door lies to the north. Location 4 ^{7}You are standing just south of the town square, before an old and battered house. The walls look old and weatherworn. It is obvious from this, and the state of the garden, that the house is not occupied at the moment. Location 5 ^{7}You are outside an old but tidy little cottage, whose door lies to the south. The road is to the north. Location 6 ^{7}You are in the town square. Here, camped in the centre of the green, is the band of orcs (Luckily still recovering from last night's booze-up).^{7}Exits are visible in most directions - north, south and west. But a high wall prevents access to the property to the east. Location 7 ^{7}You are on {5}Cottage Road, among the various houses (well cottages actually!) of the residents of Kwargz. Many have been vandalised by the orcs.^{7}Exits lead east, south and west. Location 8 ^{7}You are outside a bar which is strangely named 'CHAIRS'. It lies to the west, while various cottages lie to the north and south. The road continues eastwards. Location 9 ^{7}You are in a small passageway that leads west into the main bar of 'CHAIRS'. Various unusual objects adorn the walls in an attempt to hide the tattered wallpaper. Location 10 ^{7}You are standing beside the bar in 'CHAIRS'. To one side of you is a grand piano.^{7}The corridor leads eastwards. Location 11 ^{7}You are outside the Police Station. The newly-fitted reinforced doors and windows clearly show that the local 'fuzz' are nervous about the presence of the orcs.^{7}The high street is to the west. Location 12 ^{7}This is 'High Street - North'. To the south is the town square, while to the east is the police station. Off to the north you can see the various shops in the town centre. Location 13 ^{7}You are outside the cottage that is on loan to you from 'Kwargz Kounty Kouncil' for the duration of your stay. It is not much to look at, but then neither is the 'Kounty Kouncil'. ^{7}To the south is the road, with the cottage being to the north. Location 14 ^{7}This is 'Gordon's Gift Shop'. Around you are various weird and wonderful objects. The door leads out to the west.^{7}Gordon is here. Location 15 ^{7}This is the 'toilet'. The Kwargz plumbers have opted to go French style, ie. the toilet is just a hole in the ground! The place is very dark - the only light comes from a small window.^{7}The living room is to the west. Location 16 ^{7}You are inside your cottage. Junk lies strewn across the tables and chairs, the carpet is frayed and worn, and the ceiling is disgustingly dirty - In fact, it's just like home!^{7}The toilet is to the east, the kitchen to the west and the door out to the south. Location 17 ^{7}This is the kitchen. You hear snoring and are surprised to see that it is coming from a man who is lying on the floor!^{7}The exit is to the east. Location 18 ^{7}You are still on 'High Street - North' which continues to the north (really?) and the south. To the east the proud form of 'Gordon's Novelty Gift Shop' stands tall, albeit rather crookedly. Location 19 ^{7}This is the 'Kwargz Adventure Supply Shop'. A small sign proclaims that it is 'The No.1 for gear for suicidal adventurers who undertake stupid quests to get daft objects', but you wonder whether it would have anything for you.^{7}To the west, beside the sign which says 'Special Offers On Trunks', is the door out.^{7}The shopkeeper is here. Location 20 ^{7}The 'High Street - North' continues on its merry way, past an 'Adventure Supply Shop', which is on the east side. Location 21 ^{7}You are standing in the majestic hallway of Kwargz Town Hall, surrounded by splendid furnishings and nice antiques. All the doors, except the one to the north, appear to be locked. Location 22 ^{7}At this point in the road a lot seems to be going on. For starters the road crosses 'High Street - West', and to top it all there's a 'Tourist Office' to the north and a 'Building Society' to the east. Location 23 ^{7}This is 'High Street - West'. Exits lie to the east and west, but there is also a chemist to the north. Location 24 ^{7}A large sign reading 'Scott's Pawn Shop' dwarfs the small building to the north. There are also exits to the east and west. Location 25 ^{7}'High Street - West' continues to both the east and, not surprisingly, the west. Location 26 ^{7}You are standing outside the majestic form of Kwargz Town Hall, whose main door leads south. To the north a signposted road leads out of the town. The High Street is to the east. Location 27 ^{7}This is the tourist office. It has evidently been shut down for a long time as cobwebs hang over the walls. The door lies out to the south. Location 28 ^{7}You are in the chemist. A wide counter (thankfully) separates you from the oily little man in the white coat who is standing on the other side. Location 29 ^{7}This is 'Honest Scott's Pawn Shop'. Mr H. Scott Esq. himself stands behind the counter here and fixes you with an evil grin. Location 30 ^{7}You are on the rocky road out the town which, due to the Kwargz laws governing the movement of inanimate objects, still lies to the south. The track leads off to the north. Location 31 ^{7}The rocky track continues to the north here, away from the town to the south. Location 32 ^{7}The road from the town meets a mountain track in this location. The track weaves its way up the steep mountain and it looks as if it might be very easy to get lost. There is a sign here. Location 33 ^{7}You are on top of the mountain. A sign here reads, {16}{4}"Old Smokey Mountain - National Rust members only".{5}{16}{6} To the east you can see a large tower-like building. Location 34 ^{7}You are outside a huge observatory whose door lies to the north. From here you can see the large telescope which, instead of pointing upwards, seems to be inclined at a strange angle. Location 35 ^{7}The observatory is very quiet and deserted. Amidst the small statuettes of Patrick Moore and Heather Cooper, you can see two doors. One to the north and one to the south. Location 36 ^{7}You are standing by the huge telescope of the observatory. There's a wonderful view from up here and many miles distant you can make out a building.^{7}The door out is to the south. Location 37 ^{7}This is the 'Kwargz Building Society'. A large sign over the counter here reads, 'There's mortar our accounts than meets the eye!'. Apparently these accounts are more flexible in construction and allow you to build up a substantial amount of cash.^{7}The door is to the west. Location 38 ^{7}This is the house of the local carpenter, Richard. The room contains a lot of plastic furniture and metal tables, covered in junk. Strange.^{7}The door is to the north. Location 39 ^{7}This location is a small room. In one corner of the room is a chest. The exit lies to the west. Location 40 ^{7}You are lost in the mountains - maybe next time you'll remember the 'A-Z of the mountains'!^{7}There are no exits! Location 41 ^{7}You are standing before the Wizard's castle. Its huge portcullis lies open to the north.^{7}A sign here reads, {16}{4}"TO ALL ADVENTURERS, The management accepts no responsibilty for loss, or damage to any vital organ, whilst inside this castle. The adventurer enters at his, or her, own risk.".^{7}{5}{16}{6}Below this main sign is a smaller one. Location 42 ^{7}You are inside the Wizard's castle. To the north is a central room, while the portcullis remains firmly closed behind you. Location 43 ^{7}In this small room, to the west of the central one, there are some curious markings on the floor. They appear to be little squares with numbers (from 1 to 10) in them! Location 44 ^{7}From this central room corridors lead off to all four points of the compass. Location 45 ^{7}The only thing in this small room is a solitary chess board, set in the exact centre of the room. Location 46 ^{7}This room is empty, but the author put it in because it looked nice on his design map. Location 47 ^{7}To the north, a doorway leads into the Wizard's quarters. Location 48 ^{7}These are the quarters of the Wizard. Around you are various magical objects of no real use whatsoever (but they look good). The door leads out to the south. Location 49 ^{7}You are inside the Genie's lamp.
